Ida B. Wells-Barnett High School's Women's Lacrosse team (formerly known as Wilson High School Women's Lacrosse) has a decades long and proud tradition.
Many of our players have gone on to play in college at all levels, from club college teams to Division I NCAA programs.
Each season, we welcome returning IBW High School players and graduates of our youth program; typically, there are two teams (JV and Varsity).
We also welcome many players from private and public schools throughout the Portland metro area without high school lacrosse programs.
We practice Monday-Friday beginning Monday, March 3 (2025) until the season ends at the end of May.
We play 12 league games each season (spring) and compete in a few non-league matches as well.
Our league consists of teams from Cleveland, Lincoln, Grant, Oregon Episcopal, Central Catholic and Hood River high schools.
The IBW Women's Lacrosse program is a non-profit organization dedicated to the sport of lacrosse for players from Ida B Wells High School. We are governed by a board of directors and are completely volunteer run, with the exception of our coaching staff.
